COVID-19 VIRUS UPDATE

Effective Monday, June 1st, we are OPEN!

Though we are re-opening, we recognize that the pandemic is certainly not over and that we must remain vigilant and steadfast in our commitment to controlling the spread and its effect on our health care system. To that end, we have implemented some procedural changes to the office that I would like to make you aware of.

  1. To minimize the number of people within the office at one time, we ask that you arrive on time and leave directly following your scheduled appointment time. (Though we would love the chance to chat and catch up, this will have to wait until after the virus concerns have abated.)
  2. We will limit the number of people in the reception area to a maximum of 2. As such, we ask that you do not bring (non-scheduled) family members to appointments at this time.
  3. CHIROPRACTIC PATIENTS ONLY – you are invited to enter the office when you arrive. If we are at full capacity, Heather or Lynda will ask you to wait in your car until the office clears.
  4. MASSAGE PATIENTS ONLY – to start, we are going to ask that you wait in your vehicles until your therapist comes outside to get you. This ensures they have adequately cleaned their rooms and prepared themselves for your treatment.
  5. Every person entering the office must be passively and actively screened for CV-19 prior to receiving treatment. Please read the sign on our front door and verbally acknowledge to our team that you are:

Free from the Following Symptoms or Conditions:

    • Fever or chills
    • New onset of cough or worsening of chronic cough
    • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
    • Sore throat or difficulty swallowing
    • Decrease or loss of sense of taste or smell
    • Unexplained fatigue, malaise, or muscle aches
    • Contact from a suspected or known case of CV-19
    • Contact with anyone that has traveled outside Canada in the past 14 days?

If you have any of the above symptoms, please DO NOT ENTER the office. Please return home and consult with your MD or public health to determine your next course of action. We will NOT charge a missed fee for CV-19 related absences.

  1. Please respect physical distancing of others. Heather and Lynda will do their best to direct patient flow in the hallway and at reception to maintain this spacing. We are a small office, so your awareness and understanding will go along way to help us with this.
  2. We would like to encourage everyone either use ‘tap’ for payment or to sign-up for our bi-weekly billing program (ask for details if you’re interested.) We would prefer NOT to accept cash at this time.
  3. As of Monday, July 20th you will be required by Hamilton By-law to wear a mask in the office.  Due to the limited supply of surgical masks, we will NOT be able to provide patients with a mask.  The team will wear a mask when they are in direct contact with you and are not behind the plexi-glass barrier.
  4. Please be aware that our washroom will be CLOSED for patients. Please take the necessary steps to ensure that this will not be an unexpected issue for you.
  5. Please use the available hand sanitizer upon entering and exiting the office.

Please bring any safety concerns or comfort issues to our team and we will do our best to accommodate you (things are constantly changing and we will be adapting to new information and requirements as it becomes available.) We are all navigating this for the first time – we ask for your continued patience while we walk through this together.
