In Ontario

Registered Massage Therapists are educated in anatomy, physiology, pathology, kinesiology, nutrition, public health, remedial exercise, and clinical treatment.  Massage Therapists in Ontario must complete a certain number of continuing education units in order to keep our knowledge and skills up-to-date.  Since 2004, I have completed courses in Manual Lymphatic Drainage, Advanced Soft Tissue Manipulation of the Cervical (Neck) Region, Advanced Soft Tissue Manipulation of the Lumbar Region, Massage Therapy and Cancer, Neuromuscular Integration and Structural Alignment (NISA), Rhythmic Technique, and numerous Anatomy Review courses.

Dr. Dave Asks some important questions of interest to Carlisle residents - Chiropractor Carlisle Dr. Dave Asks...

What causes vertebral subluxations?
Chiropractors acknowledge three types of stress: physical, chemical and emotional. When the adaptive capacity of your body is compromised, weakened areas along the spine can become involved. Muscles tighten, spinal joints lock up and nearby nerves are affected. The purpose of chiropractic care is to find these areas and restore balance, alignment and motion.
What's the difference between maintenance, prevention and wellness?
Maintenance chiropractic care is an attempt to keep a dynamic, ever-changing and adapting organism (you) in a static relationship with your environment. Preventive chiropractic care is mostly about early detection. Wellness chiropractic care is an attempt to optimize our health and be all that you were designed to be.
