Andrea Veeneman (nee: Tigchelaar), B.Sc., RMT, C.Ac., C.R.
Andrea has been a RMT since 1999. She began her first practice in Dr. Higgins Chiropractic and Wellness Clinic in Burlington. During that time she earned her certifications in Reflexology, Hot Stone Massage and Acupuncture as well as teaching massage courses at the Canadian Therapeutic College in Burlington (now Trillium College). She also has a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Waterloo. Andrea is the wife of Dr. David Veeneman and in 2006 she took some time off from the profession to have and care for their first son, Caden. In that time she joined the Carlisle Family Chiropractic on a part time schedule until having their second son, Nolan in 2009. She is excited to be returning to the massage profession this year and serving the Carlisle community.
Andrea believes that wellness of the body is best achieved through a well rounded variety of preventative measures. Some of the key elements being a healthy diet, regular activity/exercise, a healthy nervous system so ‘all systems are firing’, and stress management, just to name a few. When included in your wellness routine they treat the body as a whole and work towards optimizing your health.
During her career Andrea has gained much experience treating variety of conditions such as sciatica, repetitive strain injuries, post surgical rehab, accident insurance cases, pregnancy and labor massage, low back pain, chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, migraines and headaches. She believes in treating not only the symptoms, but trying to discover and solve the underlying cause wherever possible.

Massage Therapy is defined as the assessment and treatment of the soft tissues and joints of the body in order to decreases pain and discomfort, increase and/or maintain range of motion and flexibility, and support wellness. Some of the most common concerns Massage Therapy can treat are:
- Muscular tension, tightness and contractures, joint stiffness and discomfort
- Tension and cluster headaches, migraines, sinus headaches and congestion
- Repetitive strain injuries such as tendonitis
- Nerve Concerns such as Sciatica, Thoracic Outlet or Carpal Tunnel Syndromes
- STRESS, ANXIETY, SLEEP DISTURBANCES

½ Hour $45.00 Registered Massage Therapy is not covered by
¾ Hour $60.00 OHIP, but it is included in many Extended
1 Hour $75.00 Healthcare Plans…Check with yours!
